I’m assuming they got it when the New Beetle was relatively new and thought it would be a “hip” vehicle to attract attention for community relations with the youths and stuff. Sort of like how every small business had a garishly decorated PT Cruiser or HHR for a while.

If that’s not the case, then I have no explanation.

Most cities in Quebec no longer have municipal police forces.

It was not actually used as a patrol car. Just for special events that they were there to promote the SQ.

Our current SQ cars are basically all chargers and a still a few impalas

They will be changing soon to this

Hey, it’s not that bad. It’s just busy, congested, sometimes chaotic, and they have the ugliest fire vehicle ever. Other than that I like it, haha.
